Part of the reason for the kerfuffle erupting online right now is that there’s no real way to make contact with the people making the decisions, except for sending donations. One possibility is to give every sustaining donor (member) an up or down vote on the yearly plan, you could even have competing board members propose alternative plans with alt leadership teams. Participatory budgeting could be another possibility. There’s lots, open the door. Listening is key.
